Account & Billing

Manage Subscription

Upgrade, start a trial, update payment, or cancel.

Your subscription is managed by the workspace owner, under Settings → Billing. Admins can grow the team, but only the owner can start, change, or stop paying. Payments and invoices are handled securely through Paddle, Docpipe's payment provider.

Upgrade to Pro

From the billing page, choose Monthly or Yearly billing (yearly saves 17%) and select Upgrade to Pro. Checkout opens right in Docpipe; your plan is billed per seat for your current team size, and taxes are calculated at checkout.

Start a free trial

Prefer to try Pro first? Start a 7-day free trial. It requires a payment method, gives you every Pro feature for the week, and automatically converts to Pro afterward — cancel any time before it ends and you won't be charged. While a trial is running, the billing page shows when your paid plan will begin.

Manage an existing subscription

Once you're on a paid plan, the billing page gives you:

  • Manage billing — opens the Paddle customer portal in a new tab, where you can update your payment method and view invoices.
  • Cancel subscription — schedules cancellation for the end of your current billing period. You keep Pro until then, and can select Keep Pro any time before that date to undo it.

If a payment fails, the page shows a Payment needs attention notice and the button becomes Update payment method so you can fix it before Pro lapses.

What happens when Pro ends

When a subscription ends and the workspace returns to Free:

  • Nothing is deleted. Your documents and spaces stay available to read.
  • Creating more is capped to Free's limits, and Pro-only features turn off until you re-subscribe.

If your plan was arranged directly with Docpipe, the billing page shows "Access granted by Docpipe" — there's nothing to pay or manage there. Reach out to your account contact for changes.
