Add images, video, audio, and file attachments to a document.
A screenshot, a diagram export, or an attached PDF often explains something faster than a paragraph. Docpipe lets you add images, video, audio, and file attachments to any document.
Add media
There are a few ways to add a file:
- Slash menu — type
/and pick Image, Video, Audio, or File from the Media group, then choose a file. - Media toolbar — the paperclip menu in the toolbar offers the same options, plus Embed URL.
- Drag and drop or paste — drop a file into the document, or paste an image straight from your clipboard.
To embed a video or post from elsewhere, use Embed URL and paste a link (YouTube, Vimeo, and similar).
Size limits
Uploads are capped by type, so documents stay quick to load:
- Images — up to 4 MB
- Video — up to 16 MB
- Audio — up to 8 MB
- Other files — up to 8 MB
If a file is too large, the upload is rejected with a message telling you the limit. For large videos, embedding a hosted link is usually the better option.
How media is kept private
Uploaded files aren't public. They're stored against your organization and served through short-lived, signed links, and each request is checked against your access to the space — so only people who can see the document can load its media. Adding a file also requires edit access to the document's space.
