Working with Documents
Organize, write, and maintain the documents that hold your team's knowledge.
Documents are where your team's knowledge actually lives. Everything else in Docpipe — capture, search, the assistant, integrations — exists to fill these pages and keep them accurate. This section covers writing and organizing them.
How documents are organized
Your knowledge base is a simple hierarchy: spaces hold sections, and sections hold documents. A space is a top-level area — Engineering, Handbook, Ops — and sections group related documents inside it. A document can sit directly in a space or inside one of its sections.
Who can edit a document is controlled by its space: anyone with editor access to the space can edit every document in it, and viewers can read but not change them. See Space access for how that's granted.
